The song's lyrics were written by the poet and lyricist Anand Bakshi, and the music was composed by the duo Jatin-Lalit.
The singers are Kumar Sanu for the male voice, and Lata Mangeshkar for the female voice, both consecrated Bollywood playback singers.
The video clip shows a young Indian couple with very different family backgrounds, who meet on vacation in Swiss. They fall in love with each other and start a sentimental relationship.
