Touch on each word to display its meaning
[ all stanza x2 ]
Ram wants Leela,
Leela wants Ram.
In the love of these two,
what business does the world have?
[all stanza x2]
They have just a simple-ish principle, friend:
shoot/ignore, then (there is) fight
wink, then (there is) love
Ram wants Leela,
Leela wants Ram.
In the love of these two,
what business does the world have?
[ both lines x2 ]
Keep the gun in your pocket,
rein in your horse
[both lines x2]
Ram wants Leela, Leela wants Ram
Ram wants Leela,
Leela wants Ram.
In the love of these two,
what business does the world have?
[ in rapid beat ]
[ mixing Gujarati terms ]
[ cuṛlōṁ nathunī patlē kaṁdōrō ]
[in rapid beat]
[mixing Gujarati terms]
Dhan, dhan, dhan, dhan, ho!
the raincloud/megh that showers,
craves Leela's adornments/passion, does it not?
Bracelet, nose-ring, a fine belly chain,
Beautiful woman, with the color of the chukar!
Ram and Leela are like lovebirds
Ram and Leela are in full fervor
[ both verses x2 ]
All seem enemies
I see a thief in everyone
[both verses x2]
Peacocks sit in your balcony,
and it is the peacocks' fault
Infamous Ram and Leela
Oh, my Ram!
Oh, Leela-Ram!
Ram wants Leela,
Leela wants Ram.
In the love of these two,
what business does the world have?
[ both lines x2 ]
There is one bullet,
and there is only one life
[both lines x2]
On each bullet, the name of the person it kills is written
A bullet for a bullet, that is how they run
Ram-Leela, Ram-leela [x8]
Ram wants Leela,
Leela wants Ram.
In the love of these two,
what business does the world have?
[ in Gujarati ]
[ yē jōgī jōg mukī magan māyā mā ]
[ ghēlō thaī gayō ā śvēt kāy mā ]
[ manan karē līlā ēkj nām ]
[in Gujarati]
[This yogi is dropping his yoga and focusing on yoy]
[he went mad for your white body]
[Leela is just chanting one name, which is:]
[Oh, Lord Ram, King the House of Raghu!]
Ram-Leela, Ram-Leela, Ram-Leela, Ram
Ram-Leela, Ram-Leela,
Ram Leela, Ram Leela [x12]

raam chaahe liilaa (Hindi:राम चाहे लीला, Urdu: رام چاہے لیلا) "Ram Wants Leela" is a song from the 2013 Hindi-language Bollywood tragic romance film "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela".
The song was written by the lyricist duo Siddharth-Garima, and the music was composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The background singer is Bhoomi Trivedi
The movie is essentially a replay of the Shakespearean drama "Romeo And Juliet", with a modern Gujarati flavor.
The video clip shows scenes of the movie where the main male character, Ram (played by Ranveer Singh) drunkenly cheers the performance of a Mujra dancer.
The dancer is the actress Priyanka Chopra doing an "item number" in the movie.
The song contains many words and whole verses in Gujarati language. Also a voice-off announcer makes comments in Gujarati after and before the dance.
The lyrics constantly make puns with "Ram", the name of the male protagonist, and also the name of the epic Hindu deity Ram or Rama.
Even the names of Ram and Leela are joined together the same way the names of Ram and Sita (Rama's wife and central female character in the Ramayana epic) are combined in Hinduism.
