It was originally created for the 1972 Indian movie "Jawani Diwani" (Crazy Youth), with Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosle as playback singers.
The song narrates an exchange between couple of young lovers; the male character presses to consumate the relationship, while the femalre character refuses and asks him to be patient.
In 2016, another rendition of this song became popular in Youtube, sung by Jonita Gandhi and Ash King.
