jag laal laal laal (Hindi: जग लाल लाल लाल, Urdu: جگ لال لال لال) "Red, Red World",
is a song featured in the 2007 Bollywood film "Big Brother".
The word laal means "red", but in songs with religious or mystical overtones, it is normally used to generally describe a "vibrant color", or the ecstasy and heightened perception of someone experiencing a mystical trance.
Sufis often refer to their masters or former saints as "dear, beloved", which is also another meaning of the word laal.
In the video clip, the song is played with the 2 singers, Ustad Sultan Khan and Zubeen Garg picturizing their own singing, against a background of female dancers in "whirling dervish" Sufi outfit.
Then, the video shows scenes of people praying in a mosque, and Hindu saddhus and young girls dancing in the street while Zubeen Garg sings and plays the guitar.
The film is about a peaceful man called Dev Sharma (Sunny Deol) and his wife Aarti (Priyanka Chopra), who suffer an outrage that makes Dev become a vigilante avenger or "Big Brother".
The song's lyrics were composed by Anil Pandey, and the music was composed by Sandesh Shandily, who was a student of Sultan Khan.
