 [ dēvā kāy karū ]
 [ siski bhāru ]
 [ ē mājhā dēvā kāy karū ]
[In Marathi]
What should I do, Oh God!
Should I sigh
Oh, my God, what should I do?
The melancholic (folk song about) pains of separation / oh-ho
has become a shenhai (wedding instrument) / oh-ho
A thumri was stirred up in my ears [x2]
The one love-crazed with the body / oh-ho
didn't listen to the mind / oh-ho
Oh, the mind says that the body is deceiving, alas! [x3]
Ah!
Oh girl, you create an uproar [x2]
that started, started!
What sort of fire is in my heart, ah!
In youth, the pricking woke, woke.
ah!

[yo - yo - yo - yo]
[yo - yo - yo - yo] young [x2]
Young age …
Having asked for some rouge, from a young age,
I have decorated rangolis of (my) dreams
Having crossed the containing "Lakshamn boundary",
ah, to what sort of craving I was drawn!
Wherever the sandal-like fragrance of my beloved comes
a full arm-opening of my heart happens
I am that sort of flower bud that fled, leaving the little garden:
the shadow of black-bees pleases me
Beaten in to cage / oh-ho
that poor deer / oh-ho
goes and makes eye contact with tigers [x2]
The one love-crazed with the body / oh-ho
didn't listen to the mind / oh-ho
Oh, the mind says that the body is deceiving, alas! [x3]
Ah!

Oh girl, you create an uproar [x2]
