ishq vaalaa lav (Hindi: इश्क़ वाला लव, Urdu: عِشْق والا لّو), loosely translated as "Adoring Love" is a song from the 2012 Bollywood coming-of-age romantic comedy "Student of the Year".
The video clip shows scenes of the movie where the female protagonist, Shanaya (played by Alia Bhatt) is the center of attention of Rohan, her brash current boyfriend (played by Varun Dhawan) and of the more introverted Abhi (played by Sidharth Malhotra).
The song's lyrics were written by Anvita Dutt, and the music was composed by the duo Vishal-Shekhar.
The playback singers are Salim Merchant and Shekhar Ravjiani for the male parts, and Neeti Mohan for the female parts.
