vahaaN kaun hai teraa , musaafir ,
jaaegaa kahaaN
vahaaN kaun hai teraa
Who is there of your own, traveller?
Where will you go?
Take a full moment of rest,
this shade, where will you get it?
Who is there of your own, traveller?
Where will you go?
Who is there of your own, traveller?
biit gaye din ,
pyaar ke palchhin
sapnaa banii vo raateN
bhuul gaye vo ,
tuu bhii bhulaa de
pyaar kii vo mulaaqaateN [ x2 ]
sab duur andheraa [ x2 ]

Gone are the days,
moments of love,
those nights have become dreams.
They forgot (you),
you too forget
those encounters of love [x2]
All is dark for a long distance [x2]
traveller, where will you go?
Take a rest, take a rest,
take a full moment of rest
This shade, where will you get it?
Who is there of your own?
koii bhii terii
raah na dekhe
nain bichhaae na koii
dard se tere , koii na taRpaa
aaNkh kisii kii na roii [ x2 ]
kahe kis ko tuu meraa [ x2 ]
musaafir jaaegaa kahaaN
dam le le ghaRii bhar , ye chhayaaN ,
paaegaa kahaaN
vahaaN kaun hai teraa
Also, no one looks at your path
(i.e. standing watch for your return)
none lays eyes
Nobody is tormented about your pain
No (one) whose eye cry [x2]
Whom you would call "my own"? [x2]
Traveller, where will you go?
Take a full moment of rest,
this shade, where will you get it?
Who is there of your own?
ho musaafir ,
tuu jaaegaa kahaaN
kɛhte haiN jñaanii , duniyaa hai faanii
paanii pe likhii likhaaii
hai sab kii dekhii , hai sab kii jaanii
haath kisii ke na aaii [ x2 ]
kuchh teraa na meraa [ x2 ]
musaafir jaaegaa kahaaN
dam le le , dam le le ,
dam le le ghaRii bhar ,
ye chhayaaN , paaegaa kahaaN
vahaaN kaun hai teraa
Hey, traveller,
where will you go?
Wise men say that the world is transitory
a writing written on water
(that) has been seen by all, known by all,
(but) doesn't come into anyone's power [x2]
Nothing is yours or mine [x2]
Traveller, where will you go?
Take a rest, take a rest,
take a full moment of rest
this shade, where will you get it?
Who is there of your own?

vahaaN kaun hai teraa (Hindi: वहाँ कौन है तेरा, Urdu: وہاں کون ہے تیرا) "Who is there, of your own?", is a song from the 1965 Indian drama film "Guide".
The song is played near the beginning of the movie, when the lead character Raju (interpreted the Indian actor Dev Anand) is released from jail and, facing a crossroads, instead of turning to the city familiar to him, chooses to start a journey to a far away village.
The film "Guide" became enormously popular, mainly because of its soundtrack. The film's music was composed by Sachin Dev Burman, a legendary and very prolific music director and composer born in modern-day Bangladesh who contributed to many Hindi and Bengali films.
Other songs of the film were interpreted by famous singers of the time, like Kishore Kumar or Mohammed Rafi, but "Wahan Kaun Hai Tera" was sung by S. D. Burman himself.
Like many other S. D. Burman songs, "Wahan Kaun Hai Tera" is sung with a peculiar tempo and melody that sound odd, slightly off-key and offbeat to western ears. This is because Burman draws inspiration from folk ("light classical", "semi-classical") South Asian music genres.
