jiine lagaa huuN
Touch on each word to display its meaning
jiine lagaa huuN , pɛhle se zyaadaa
pɛhle se zyaadaa , tum pe marne lagaa huuN
I have started to live, more than before
more than before, I have started to fall for you
maiN meraa dil aur tum ho yahaaN
phir kyuuN ho palkeN jhukaae vahaaN

tum is se pɛhle the jaane kahaaN
I, my heart, and you, are (all) here
then, why you lower your eyelids there?
I never saw (anyone) beautiful like you before
Who knows where you were before this?
jiine lagaa huuN , pɛhle se zyaadaa
pɛhle se zyaadaa , tum pe marne lagaa huuN
I have started to live, more than before
more than before, I have started to fall for you
rɛhte ho aa ke jo tum paas mere
tham jaae pal ye yahiiN
bas maiN ye sochuuN
sochuuN maiN tham jaae pal ye
paas mere jab ho tum

When you come and stay near me
what I just imagine is
that this moment right there stands still.
I imagine that this moment stands still
when you are near me

In solitude, (my) heart searches you,

jiine lagaa huuN (Hindi: जीने लगा हूँ, Urdu: جینے لگا ہوں) "I Have Started to Live", is a song from the 2013 Hindi romantic comedy-drama film "Ramaiya Vastavaiya".
The film is about the love story of Ram, a rich boy son of émigrés (played by the Indian actor Girish Kumar), and Sona, a modest and traditional Indian girl from Punjab (played by the Indian actress Shruti Haasan). The title of the film means "Lord Ram, you will come" in Telugu language, in an ironic reference to the main character's name.
The video clip shows how they start falling in love, among dreamy landscapes surrounded by painted clay horses, and funny domestic scenes.
The song is interpreted by the Pakistani male playback singer Atif Aslam and the Indian female playback singer Shreya Ghoshal. But their genders don't quite match the genders addressed in the lyrics: Atif sings most of the song, regardless of whether a male or a female is being addressed, and Shreya contributes mostly to the chorus.
The lyrics were written by the Indian lyricist Priya Saraiya (also known as Priya Panchal), and the music was composed by the Indian composer duo based in Mumbai Sachin-Jigar (Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya), who also composed all the other songs in the movie.
