dar-na-mohbbat-kar-le
Touch on each word to display its meaning
Dar   na   moHabbatt   kar   le
Don't fear, dare to feel love
Dar   na   moHabbatt   kar   le   [ x2 ]
ulfat   se   jholii   bhar   le
duniyaa   hai   chaar   din   kii
jii   le   chaahe   mar   le
Don't fear, dare to feel love [x2]
Fill your bag with passion
It is a four-day world,
whether you live or dir
duniyaa   faanii   tuu   bhii   faanii
letaa   jaa   ulfat   kii   nishaanii
do   lafzoN   kii   ek   kahaanii
ek   moHabbatt   ek   javaanii
yaad   ise   tuu   kar   le   [ x2 ]
The world is transient, so are you,
keep collecting love's imprints
A tale told in two words:
one love, one youth
Remember it [x2]
duniyaa   to   kaaNToN   kaa   ek   ban   hai
aur   ulfat   phuuloN   kaa   chaman   hai
kar   le   vahii   jo   dil   kii   lagan   hai
soch   na   manzil   dil   kii   kaThin   hai
is   manzil   se   guzar   le   [ x2 ]
The world is a thorny wilderness
while love is a blooming garden
Do what your heart truly yearns for
don't ponder the path's hardship
Cross this destination [x2]
kɛhnaa   jo   tuune   meraa   na   maanaa
piichhe   paRegaa   phir   pachhtaanaa
dekh   le   apnaa   kar   le   Thikaanaa
ye   hai   moHabbatt   vo   hai   zamaanaa
haNs   le   yaa   aaheN   bhar   le   [ x2 ]
If you disregard my words
you'll have to regret it later
Look, choose your path:
this is love, that is the world,
laugh or fill yourself with sighs [x2]

dar-na-mohbbat-kar-le (Hindi: डर न मोहब्बत कर ले, Urdu: ڈر نَہ مُحَبَّت کَر لے), "Don’t Be Afraid to Fall in Love", is a song featured in the Bollywood film "Andaz" (1949). The playback singers for this song were Lata Mangeshkar and Shamshad Begum.

The song takes place during a party at the home of the female lead, Neena (Nargis), where Dilip (Dilip Kumar) sings and cheerfully plays the piano, accompanied by Neena and her friend Sheila (Cuckoo Moray). Although the scene has a light and glamorous tone, within the context of the film — which revolves around a love triangle between Neena, Dilip, and Raj (Raj Kapoor) — the song takes on a deeper meaning: it becomes an invitation to love fearlessly, just as the characters are about to face emotional turmoil.

The song was composed by the film’s music director, Naushad, with lyrics written by Majrooh Sultanpuri.
