The movie narrates the story of Daya (Shiney Ahuja), a murderer for hire who tries to abandon his evil ways for the sake of his girlfriend Simram (Kangana Ranaut).
The song's video clip shows key parts of the movie: Daya renouncing his career as a killer in Seoul and being happy performing menial jobs, Simram aloof and alcoholic, and the bar singer Akash (Emraan Hashmi) becoming her new love interest.
The playback singer was the Bangladeshi artist James.
The music for this and all other songs in the movie soundtrack, was composed by Pritam, and the song's lyrics were written by Mayur Puri.
