raksTaar (Hindi: रॉकस्टार, Urdu: روکْسٹار), but normally transcribed in English, is a song written, composed, and sung by the Pakistani singer-songwriter Ali Zafar.
It was played in 2015 at season 4 of the Pakistani musical TV show Coke Studio
The song is some sort of humorous biopic where Zafar, the author, portrays himself as vain, boastful, and insecure womanizer.
In the lyrics, he praises his own charm and physical appearance, and he mentions 2 famous songs that he has interpreted: "Channo" and Madhubala (both happen to be women's names).
Also, he refers to himself as "AZ" (his initials), and he claims to be friends with "Resham" and "Meera" (Irtiza Rubab), both renowned Pakistani actresses who are his friends in real life.
The "I am allowed four" part of the lyrics is a joking reference to the maximum number of wives allowed to a man in Islam.
The song is mostly in Urdu, with numerous lines wholly in English, and some Punjabi.
