Headscarf
[ Hey , do you know ? ]
[ Hey , do you know ? ]
[Hey, do you know?]
Baby, for your sake, I hold the hem of my headscarf
[Hey, do you know?]
Whatever you might desire, I shall do
I am in your charge
[ both lines x2 ]
[ in Gujarati ]
[ kēm chō ? majāmāṁ ? ]
Oh, the headscarf flies, flies,
and eyes are turning, turning!
[both lines x2]
Ah, there is something, something in my chest!
[in Gujarati]
[How are You? Fine?]
Although this headscarf,
I hold it and hold it, it flies off
I hold (my) headscarf, but it goes flying [x3]
[ both lines x2 ]
Oh, the headscarf flies, flies,
and eyes are turning, turning!
[both lines x2]
There’s something happening in my chest
Oh, beloved, oh,
hold me now, wouldn't you?
Ah, wretched me! Naughty youth!
Hold me, wouldn't you?
O my beloved,
don’t torture me in this way
In my chest too,
is stoked some crazy desire
[ both lines x2 ]
Oh, the headscarf flies, flies,
and eyes are turning, turning!
[both lines x2]
Ah, there is something, something in my chest!
Although I hold and hold the headscarf,
I hold the headascarf but it goes flying!
