First Class (in English in the original) is a song from the 2019 Indian period drama film "Kalank".
The movie narrates the story of several characters interrelated by kinship in the city of Lahore in 1946, the times before the Partition of India.
The main characters in the video clip are Zafar, a careless, womanizing Muslim man (interpreted by Varun Dhawan), who starts a relationship with Roop, a Hindu woman (played by Alia Bhatt) who had to agree to a loveless marriage.
Roop is shown practicing dance and classical Indian singing under the supervision of Bahaar Begum, a brothel madam (interpreted by the Indian actress and dancer Madhuri Dixit). Meanwhile, Zafar dances in the streets accompanied by an all-male troupe of dancers, boasting about his carefree lifestyle.
In a later scene, Roop is shown in what seems to be an engagement ceremony with the fiancé, Dev, Dev's father Balraj, and Satya, the former wife of Dev, who had exacted from Roop the promise of marrying Dev because she is dying.
Dev's character is played by the actor Aditya Roy Kapur, Dev's father Baraj is played by the actor and producer Sanjay Balraj Dutt and Satya is interpreted by Sonakshi Sinha; all three are Indian.
Zafar had started his relationship with Roop as an act of vengeance against Baraj because he had abandoned him and his mother after beginning a relationship with Bahaar Begum; Dev is the offspring of that relationship.
The dancing and singing continue as Roop, followed by a troupe of female dancers, joins Zafar and his group, and proclaims her love for him.
Then, Bahaar Begum comes out into the street from the portals of some big residence, and Zafar, upon seeing her, leaves the dance in anger.
This song is interpreted by the singers Arijit Singh for the male parts, and Neeti Mohan for the female parts. It was composed by the famous musical director Pritam. The lyrics were written by the playback singer Amitabh Bhattacharya.
