dil merii na sune (Hindi: दिल मेरी न सुने, Urdu: دِل میری نہ سُنے), roughly translated as "My Heart Does not Listen" is a song from the 2018 Bollywood spy thriller "Genius".
The video clip depicts romantic scenes of the movie between Vasudev (Utkarsh Sharma), a young IT genius with exceptional hacking abilities, and Nandini (Ishita Chauhan), a fellow student and competitor turned into the love of his life.
The song's lyrics were written by Manoj Muntashir.
Many passages of the lyrics idiomatically elide the word baat (word, matter); even the title, which, strictly speaking, should be something like: "My Heart Does not Listen to (My) (Word)(s)".
baat can also be understood in a plural sense.
