Touch on each word to display its meaning
Advance, and the road will unfold
Advance, and the road will unfold
slowly, slowly
[x2]
I used to go near it, but
slowly, slowly
If we keep walking, the journey will pass
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly
For now, play with the stars
flirt with the moon rays
[x2]
You will find the dawn of his/her/its face
slowly, slowly
[x2]
Advance, and the road will unfold
slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly
Look at the windows
and you might understand the secrets of the curtains
[x2]
the veils of the whole household will be lifted
slowly, slowly!
[x2]
Advance, and the road will unfold
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly
[ last two verses x2 ]
Someday, just like that,
also tell me the story of your heart
[x2]
The telling … slowly, slowly …
The gaze … slowly, slowly …
[x2]
Advance, and the road will unfold
Slowly, slowly
We used to go near her, but
Slowly, slowly
Advance, and the road will unfold
slowly, slowly
[last two verses x2]
Slowly, slowly, slowly, slowly

chale to kaT hii jaaegaa safar (Hindi: चले तो कट ही जाएगा सफ़र, Urdu: چَلے تو کٹ ہی جائے گا سفر) "Let's walk, and the journey will pass" or more literally "If we march/go, then the journey will pass" is an iconic song released as part of the soundtrack of the 1962 Pakistani Urdu-language film "Shaheed", directed and produced by Khalil Qaiser.
In the movie, the original interpreter was the famous playback singer Musarrat Nazir. But in more recent times the Pakistani singer Atif Aslam also produced his own rendition, acquainting new generations with this song.
The music was composed by Rashid Attre (one of the most prominent composers in the golden era of Pakistani cinema), and the lyrics were written by the renowned poet and lyricist Hasrat Jaipuri.
The song is sometimes also known as "Aahista, Aahista", due to the refrain at the end of all its stanzas.
