biivii nambar van (Hindi: बीवी नंबर वन, Urdu: بیوی نَمبَر وَن) "Wife Number One" is the title song of a 1999 Bollywood film of the same name: "Biwi No. 1"
The film is about an executive, Prem (Salman Khan), who is married to Poojam ( Karisma Kapoor), who is traditional and stays at home.
At some point, Prem is attracted to a model he meets at work and moves out with her. But afterwards, realizing his mistake returns to his "wife number 1".
Therefore, the lyrics can be interpreted as "My wife is the number one" (i.e. outstanding), or, more cynically, as he referring to her as the first wife.
The playback singers were Abhijeet Bhattacharya for the male parts and Poornima Shrestha for the female parts.
The music was composed by Anu Malik and the lyrics were written by Dev Kohli.
