Sky-Blue
00 :42
Sky-blue [x2]
so guess, Sir, these eyes [x2]
for whom they are?
Sky-blue [x2]
01 :21
They are besotted
in the ecstasy of their own coquetries
They meet with everyone
but stay away from everyone
Blue, blue, and intoxicating [x2]
they sway (to and fro)
they undulate colors
holding two cups of lusciousness
01 :48
Sky-blue [x2]
so guess, Sir, these eyes [x2]
for whom they are?
Sky-blue [x2]
02 :26
These are the lives
of the lively
They say the (love) stories
of heart-beats
Blue, blue, and intoxicating [x2]
they sway (to and fro)
they undulate colors
holding two cups of lusciousness
02 :53
Sky-blue [x2]
so guess, Sir, these eyes [x2]
for whom they are?
Sky-blue [x2]
03 :31
If you are to meet them,
forget the world!
Standing on earth,
sway with the stars!
Blue, blue, and intoxicating [x2]
they sway (to and fro)
they undulate colors
holding two cups of lusciousness
01 :48
Sky-blue [x2]
so guess, Sir, these eyes [x2]
for whom they are?
Sky-blue [x4]

Neele Aasmani (Hindi: नीले आसमानी, Urdu: نیلے آسمانی) "Sky-Blue", is a song from the 1955 Hindi film "Mr. and Mrs. '55".

The film is about an heiress, Anita (played by the iconic Indian actress Madhubala), who must marry as a condition to keep the inheritance. She enters into a marriage of convenience with Pritam, a struggling cartoonist (played by the actor and director Guru Dutt).
From the beginning, they start developing true feelings for each other, but other circumstances in the plot conspire to separate them.

The song and video clip occur at a night club where Anita dances some sort of tango with other men while looking at Pritam defiantly, in order to make him jealous. In the background, the night club's singer (played by the Anglo-Indian dancer and actress Cuckoo Moray) sings this song.

The lyrics summarize the two protagonists' state of mind at the moment: those seductive, torturing eyes are Anita's, even though they are not sky-blue but dark.

The playback singer is the famous Geeta Dutt. In real life, she was the wife of Guru Dutt, who is not only the protagonist but also the movie's director.

The video clip also shows briefly two secondary characters: Johnny and Julie, friends and co-workers of Pritam's, who observe the scene disapprovingly while dancing together.
Their characters are played by the famous Indian comedic actor Johnny Walker and by Vinita Bhatt a.k.a. "Jasmine".

This and of all other songs in the soundtrack had their music composed by O.P Nayyar and their lyrics written by the Indian Urdu poet Majrooh Sultanpuri. Both were very acclaimed Bollywood contributors.
