Worship …
Sajda (Hindi: सज्दा, Urdu: سجْدہ) means “Worship”, or, more specifically, the act of prostration peformed by the faithful during prayers, especially in Islam.
In this case, it means the devotion or worship to a loved one.

This song was featured in the 2010 Indian movie drama “My Name is Khan”, and it is played during the time when the male protagonist Rizvan Khan (interpreted as an adult by Shah Rukh Khan) meets and finally marries the female protagonist Mandira (Kajol Devgan).

The song’s music was composed by the famous Indian artistic trio known as SEL because of the initials of its members (Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa).

The singers are the famous Pakistani backstage and ghazal singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and again Shankar Mahadevan for the male parts, and the playback and devotional singer Richa Sharma for the female parts.

The lyrics were written by the now consecrated Indian lyricist Niranjan Iyengar, and this was his debut writing lyrics for Bollywood movies.
