The sky became yours and mine
the way dreams do: in smoke, in smoke
The sky became yours and mine
every single particle, the way breath does.
Oh, wherever you go
you shall find just me
These shadows of mine
are contained inside you

sitārōṁ  jahān mēṁ
milēṁgē ab yārā
[all stanza x2]
I am a planet, a planet
You are a planet, a planet
We will now meet
in a word of stars, beloved.

Undone by you, built by you,
because of you, faith in myself came to exist.
If you're not (present), so be it:
if I'm here, then you are hereabouts

When I met you, it happened thus:
a prayer, like incomplete, became fulfilled.
When you left, you took away with you
along with you and I, every reason to live.
