I found the one who took and stole
the sleep from my eyes

Far away there's a village,
where there is a cool shade
and a brook flows
The brook must be crossed

Wait for me,
my estranged lover [x2]

Treading this very path
with these very shadows fading away
the lips were about to say what was just in the heart,
(that) he wants me too
the fool was about to say

kar mērā iṁtzār
mērā bichṛā yār [x2]
[all stanza x2]
Wait for me,
my estranged lover [x2]
