Desires of the Heart
00 :12
Sixteen Sawans (rainy seasons) came and went in such a way
(that) I didn't fathom
the level at which this courtyard of my heart was drenched
Do you know what you have done?
00 :44
In (my) heart arose, loving
desires of the heart, desires of the heart
Out of stubborness / sixteen, in such a way …
Innocent / seasons …
desires of the heart / came and went
desires of the heart, desires of the heart
01 :32
Like coins they have been tossed
desires of the heart, desires of the heart
Out of stubborness, innocent
desires of the heart, desires of the heart
02 :09
Sort of ill-mannered, but wondrous
desires of the heart, desires of the heart
02 :33
I lost consciousness, but then regained balance
desires of the heart, desires of the heart
Out of stubborness, innocent
desires of the heart, desires of the heart

Manmarziyan (Hindi: मनमर्ज़ियाँ, Urdu: من~مَرضیاں) "Desires of the Heart", is a song from the 2013 Bollywood historical romance "Lootera".

The song's video clip shows scenes of the movie where Varun, a shady young archeologist (played by Ranveer Singh) takes care of an ailing Pakhi (Sonakshi Sinha), who is trying to recover from tuberculosis.

Every day, Pakhi looks through a window to an almost leafless tree, using it as a symbolic reference for her recovery prospects.

The song's lyrics were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and the music was composed by Amit Trivedi.

The playback singers are Shilpa Rao for the female parts, and again Amit Trivedi and Amitabh Bhattacharya for the male parts.
