जिया रे
I lived it
00 :23
चली रे, चली रे जुनून को लिए
क़तरा, क़तरा लम्हों को पिए
पिंजरे से उड़ा दिल का शिकरा
ख़ुदी से मैं ने इश्क़ किया रे
I marched, marched, taking (my) passion
taking moments, droplet by droplet.
The hawk of (my) heart, flew from the cage,
I fell in love with myself.

[Make the way for Akira ]
[Pop it up, move aside she is here]
[Hey get up! everybody wanna be her]
[Wanna see her, she is Akira]
[Make the way for Akira …]
[Pop it up, move aside she is here]
[Hey get up! everybody wanna be her]
[Wanna see her, she is Akira]

Seize the moments little by little,
like a butterfly
the color stays in the hands,
from its wings, when you release (it).
Time moves,
but the color of time fades, Akira,
then I seized one flying, flying moment

Jiya Re (Hindi: जिया रे; Urdu: جیا رے) "I lived (life, heartily)", is a song from the 2012 Indian romantic drama film "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" (For as Long as There is Life).

The video clip shows Samar Anand, a major in the Indian Army in Cachemira (played by Shah Rukh Khan) who works in the bomb disposal unit, who is constantly in a sullen mood and courting death deliberately, alongside Akira Rai (played by the Indian actress Anushka Sharma), a lively, free-spirited journalist who wants to make a documentary about him and his unit.

Gradually as the song progresses, Akira wins him over and gets him to cheer up and even dance at the end.

The singer is the Indian playback singer Neeti Mohan, and by the Indian rapper Sofia Ashraf for the small part in English.

The lyrics were written by Gulzar (the Indo-Pakistani poet Sampooran Singh Kalra) and by Sofia Ashraf. The music was composed by the celebrated Bollywood Indian composer A. R. Rahman.
